Morecambe Winter Gardens does not have a box office. Tickets are sold online via our website, or for some events by contacting Morecambe Tourist Information Centre.

Theatre timings may vary, for specific timings please check the event on our What’s On page. 

Yes, the Theatre and bar are all on one level.  Although the auditorium floor is on a slope there are no steps and most areas are accessible in a wheelchair.  We also have clean and well-presented accessible toilets.

  • Alcohol purchased outside building
  • Illegal substances
  • Anything that could reasonably considered for use as a weapon
  • Nitrous Oxide and Psychoactive substances
  • Food and Drink
  • Excessive quantities of cigarettes (ie more than for personal consumption)
  • Glass of any kind, including perfume and cologne bottles, beer bottles, jars or drinking vessels
  • Portable laser equipment and pens
  • Megaphones / Sound systems / Air horns
  • Spray cans
  • Fireworks / Sparklers / Flares
  • Animals (with the exception of assistance dogs)
  • Unofficial tabards or hi vis jackets
  • Professional camera or video equipment
  • Bicycles
  • Chairs and stools (including fold up chairs and stools)
  • Only medication in its original packaging will be permitted into the venue.

Any items confiscated will not be available for collection on exit and will be destroyed.

Please be aware that if you arrive too late during the show/event you may be refused entry, 

For events, under 16’s need to be accompanied by an adult. 

Please contact us using our contact form, giving a full description of your item, with date of when you where at the theatre, and where you think you may have left it. Alternatively please call us on 01524 409009 and we will try to help over the phone.

We do not allow any filming, photography or recording of any kind during the performance. Anyone caught doing so may be asked to leave and their ticket will not be refunded. Filming is only authorized by event organisers

We ask that Mobile phones be switched off or switched too silent for the duration of the performance.

Smoking is prohibited in all internal areas of the theatre. This includes the use of e-cigarettes. Please use designated smoking areas outside and use the smoking bins provided.

Some of our performances will use strobe lighting effects, lasers, smoke effects and pyrotechnics. If you have any concerns about an event you are thinking of attending please contact the event promoter. 

Well behaved dogs are permitted in the Theatre during general openings. However, we only allow Assistance Dogs in during events.

General Opening

Photography for personal use is permitted in the theatre. We welcome donations if you do take pictures. 
If you wish to take photographs for commercial use a permit is required from us. 
We are open from Easter to the end of September, usually on Saturdays and Sundays between 12:00 & 16:00. This is subject to events, please check the What’s On page for info.

It is free to come inside. Donations are really appreciated though. 

There is a large car park on the sea front opposite the Winter Gardens. It is a pay and display and operated by the local council

There is also a large car park behind the Pleasureland Amusement Arcade. This is a privately run car park.

Yes. We have changing facilities in the Theatre, located in the Cafe.

Yes we accept contactless and card payments as well as cash.

You can purchase your tour tickets by booking via our website or you can purchase your tickets in the theatre. Pre booking is recommended.

Well behaved dogs are permitted in the Theatre during weekend openings. However, we only allow Assistance Dogs in during events. Dogs are NOT permitted on Theatre Tours unless assistance dogs..

General Questions

The Building is owned by The Morecambe Winter Gardens Preservation Trust Ltd a Registered Charity.

The volunteers operate all aspects of fundraising and operations within Morecambe Winter Gardens Theatre. They run the Cafe, Tours and general fundraising activities. We have a small staff team who are funded to work on projects until April 2026. To get involved, visit the volunteering page.

Thank you to everyone who has sponsored a new seat. The scheme is currently paused until we know how many of the remaining seats we can use. We aim to install the seats and reopen the Dress Circle in spring 2026.
