The Restoration and Maintenance Group carry out their work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week under the guidance of Malcolm O’Neil who reports directly to the Board of Trustees.
Work is undertaken after liaison with the Trust and with ongoing support from the Conservation team at Lancaster City Council and national bodies to ensure it meets the statutory requirements befitting a Grade II* listed building.
This group is made up of men and women with various skills who are happy to work as a team in sometimes difficult circumstances.

It’s not for everyone as the theatre is not normally heated during the week and this in itself keeps everyone moving.
We are very grateful to this team as without them the theatre could not continue as they provide their expertise of restoration and maintenance all without charge.
Applications to join this group are very welcome but due to the Theatre being a Grade II* listed building all applicants must reach high standards of workmanship and responsibility.
But do not let that put you off!
