Morecambe Winter Gardens has expanded its “Eric Morecambe 100” centenary celebration by adding a second performance of the hit West End show An Evening with Eric & Ern on Sunday, 17 May, at 7:30 PM.

This addition follows the news that the Saturday night performance is now officially sold out, ensuring more fans can celebrate the legendary comedian’s 100th birthday in the very theatre where he once performed.

Supported by Morecambe Town Council, the “Eric Morecambe 100” year long celebration and this headline weekend celebrate the enduring legacy of the town’s most famous son.

The BOX OFFICE is OPEN for in-person bookings every Thursday from 12PM to 4PM.

Prof. Vanessa Toulmin, Chair of the Morecambe Winter Gardens Preservation Trust, expressed
her enthusiasm for the expanded festivities, stating, “We are honoured to be a central part of
‘Eric Morecambe 100.’ Eric was born on May 14th, so hosting this weekend of events
immediately fo lowing his birthday a lows the town to come together and celebrate the joy he
brought to the world, right here in the theatre he performed in”. She added that the Trust is
absolutely delighted to host such a fitting tribute to Morecambe’s most famous son during this
landmark year.
